So, where did it all begin?

It all started with rice paper rolls. I love the things.

 

Lunch at the MLC centre in Sydney was a delight just from knowing they existed and were in my vicinity.  A delight only until the point where I finished my meal, and then looked down at the table.

 

I wasn’t lowering my head in sadness because they were gone though. After just 5 minutes, I was looking down, saddened at a pile of plastic.

 

Each roll came in its own plastic container. Each roll came with its own mini sauce container. Then those rolls were handed to me in a plastic takeaway bag.

My delightful rolls were served with a side of guilt.

 

Something stirred within me, which seemed to sprout as the metaphorical light bulb above my head.

Rather than just sell products, what if we could address core ecological challenges as we did so?

 

4 years later, we’re doing just that. Yet it feels like it’s just the beginning.

 

For a long time, I found it difficult to describe Eco Alternative to our friends, family and even my earliest clients. There’s a lot to say, and a lot to do, but the rewards are special.

So with that, I welcome you to Eco Alternative and our tribute to help us find solutions for Earth.
